Improving the resilience and reliability of the
Upper Murray’s energy supply.
Free hot water system

Free Heat Pump hot water service for those who lost their primary place of residence.

Indigo Power and Upper Murray Incorporated are improving the resilience and reliability of the Upper Murray’s energy supply.

Thanks to a Victorian Government grant, those who lost their homes during the bushfire can receive a free Reclaim CO2 Heat Pump unit to assist with their rebuild. Subsidies of up to ninety percent of the installed price are available for all other residences and small businesses.

These hot water units are up to five times more efficient than standard electric element hot water units and are normally valued at $4,800.

The low energy consumption of these hot water systems assists households in the reduction of their energy consumption and bills, as well as improving the performance of the grid by decreasing electricity demand peaks.

Indigo Power is a community-owned social enterprise, based in Beechworth, and is responsible for managing the installation of any new heat pumps.
