Over the past few years, Indigo Power has built a small but powerful network of community batteries—sharing clean, locally generated power and providing backup to crucial sites like hospitals and emergency relief centres.
Now, backed by a $4.24 million commitment from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), we’re preparing to take our work to the next level with ten new community batteries across regional Victoria and Southern New South Wales.
To unlock the ARENA funds, we must contribute $1.54 million ourselves. Part of this co-contribution will come from a BankWAW loan, and the remainder will be raised through an Equity Crowd Source Funding (ECSF) round—details to be announced soon.
