We set up community energy hubs to supply locally generated renewable energy to communities across North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales.

A community energy hub is a community or town working together to create and share electricity. Customers within a hub are able to keep track of energy shared with their neighbours, and we’ll be building larger solar and battery systems to supply top-up power.

Every community energy hub remains connected to the Australian electricity network, so customers always have power when they need it.

In 2020, we made a promise to award $10,000 to a community energy group within our energy hubs.

Make the Switch

The offer:

When a hub reaches 100 Indigo Power customers (by 30 June 2023), they’re in the draw to win $10,000 cash.
A winner will be selected at random.
The winner will present their project the funds will go towards, if you have more than one, our board and the Indigo Power Foundation will select one.
Ten new customers will also receive a Mondo Ubi valued at $1299 (excludes installation and extras). (Winners selected at random, from any energy hub).
Additionally, the community energy group with the most growth and effort will win $1,000 in marketing support (in the form of a banner, merch, etc designed by the Indigo Power team).

*Energy sharing is an accounting concept designed to track community energy hub performance. Physical flows of energy are not recorded in its calculations.
